圖片來源：RaspberryPiSales 為了滿足廠商的量產需求，樹莓派基金會在2014年推出第一代的ComputeModule1，目的是讓廠商可以基於樹莓派的硬體核心設計自己的產品，而不限於原本的界面。

此外，基金會也授權element14可協助廠商進行客製化的量產服務，讓中小企業也可以根據自己的需求享受小量的客製化設計與製造服務。

雖然有了客製化服務，但原本的ComputeModule運算模組仍然持續升級，例如在2017年推出以RaspberryPi3B為基礎的ComputeModule3，現在更升級成和RaspberryPi3B+使用相同的BroadcomBCM2837B0SoC。

《不變之處》 如同之前的ComputeModule設計，ComputeModule3+像是精簡版的Pi3B+，上面並沒有USB、RJ45、HDMI等界面，因此體積更小可嵌入到自行設計的裝置中。

並且使用者可以另外購買ComputeModuleIOBoard，用來轉接出各種I/O端子與擴充介面。

《新的改變》 ComputeModule3+有較佳的散熱效果，因此可維持較低的平均運作溫度。

增加eMMC大小，共分為8GB、16GB、32GB等不同版本。

由於電源限制，雖然使用BroadcomBCM2837B0SoC，但最大處理器速度保持在1.2GHz，而非1.4GHz。
