Post-truth當選牛津詞典年度詞彙

到了年底，各類年度詞彙評選都開始宣佈結果。

昨日，牛津詞典宣佈其2016年度詞彙為post-truth（後真相），單獨發佈的英美年度詞彙也是這個詞。

今年進入牛津詞典年度詞彙候選的還包括adulting，Brexiteer，glasscliff等。

OxfordDictionarieshasdeclared“post-truth”asits2016internationalwordoftheyear,reflectingwhatitcalleda“highly-charged”political12months.《牛津詞典》宣佈post-truth（後真相）為2016年度詞彙，這個詞反應了這一年政治領域“高度緊張”的狀態。

Itisdefinedasanadjectiverelatingtocircumstancesinwhichobjectivefactsarelessinfluentialinshapingpublicopinionthanemotionalappeals.詞典將post-truth定義為形容詞，描述的是客觀事實對公眾意見的影響沒有感性訴求產生的影響大這樣一個狀況。

ItsselectionfollowsJune’sBrexitvoteandtheUSpresidentialelection.這個詞當選是拜6月份英國脫歐公投和美國總統大選所賜。

OxfordDictionaries’CasperGrathwohlsaidpost-truthcouldbecome“oneofthedefiningwordsofourtime”.《牛津詞典》的CasperGrathwohl表示，post-truth或將成為“定義我們這個時代的詞彙之一”。

Post-truth,whichhasbecomeassociatedwiththephrase“post-truthpolitics”,waschosenaheadofotherpoliticalterms,including“Brexiteer”and“alt-right”.Post-truth（後真相）經常跟post-truthpolitics（後真相政治）一起出現，此次評選中被甩在後面的其他政治詞彙有Brexiteer（脫歐支持者）和alt-right（另類右翼）。

OxfordDictionariessayspost-truthisthoughttohavebeenfirstusedin1992.《牛津詞典》表示，post-truth這個詞首次使用是在1992年。

However,itsaysthefrequencyofitsusageincreasedby2,000%in2016comparedwithlastyear,coincidingwiththeEUreferendumandthecampaignfortheWhiteHouseintheUS.不過，詞典表示，這個詞在2016年的使用率比上一年增長了2000%，而今年正好是脫歐公投和美國總統大選之年。

MrGrathwohlsaid:“Fuelledbytheriseofsocialmediaasanewssourceandagrowingdistrustoffactsofferedupbytheestablishment,post-truthasaconcepthasbeenfindingitslinguisticfootingforsometime,”hesaid.Grathwohl先生說：“隨著社交媒體崛起成為新聞來源，同時人們對主流機構提供的事實越發不信任，post-truth這個理念的語言學根基其實已經形成一段時間了。
